Why this partnership

OIP Discovery® and its AI connector
OIP Discovery® is designed as a single, queryable layer over the world's public health knowledge. It follows the science across clinical trial registries, scientific publications, drug pipelines, regulatory approvals and genetic databases, and lets researchers explore it in natural language, with answers that are dated and sourced.
Through its AI connector, OIP Discovery® can also be integrated into the research and AI environments the teams already use, so that trusted, traceable data supports their analysis rather than adding another tool to manage.
How the collaboration works
The partnership is structured in two phases. The first months are dedicated to a build phase, during which Tekkare® and the institute's researchers work together to adapt OIP Discovery® to their needs. The following phase focuses on operational use, once the tool fits the way the teams work.
In return for access to the platform, the Institut Pasteur de São Paulo contributes its scientific expertise, and the two organisations will co-author a joint scientific publication. This exchange, technology on one side and scientific insight on the other, is what gives the collaboration its value.
How it started
The relationship between IPSP and Tekkare was strengthened during the official visit of the Île-de-France Regional delegation to the Institut Pasteur de São Paulo in February this year. On that occasion, Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Regional Council, led a delegation composed of academic, diplomatic, and business representatives from France's innovation ecosystem, including Tekkare. The visit, promoted and organized by Business France, aimed to expand opportunities for scientific cooperation between Brazil and France and paved the way for the formalization of this collaboration.
"The visit by the French delegation represented much more than an institutional meeting. It created a favorable environment for bringing together researchers, universities, and companies around shared global health challenges. This partnership is a concrete example of how international cooperation can accelerate knowledge generation and strengthen scientific innovation," said Paola Minoprio, Executive Director of the Institut Pasteur de São Paulo.
According to Rúbens Alves, the IPSP researcher leading the projects developed under the partnership, artificial intelligence does not replace scientific research. it significantly enhances its capabilities.
"We are talking about transforming an enormous volume of dispersed information into actionable knowledge for scientific decision-making. The platform will allow us to integrate data currently scattered across multiple databases, identify patterns that would be difficult to detect through conventional analyses alone, and accelerate key stages of the research process, while always maintaining scientific rigor."
